Elsewhere in Europe, new infections were reported in domestic animals in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Ukraine, while 14 nations recorded more cases in their wild boar populations.

Among the seven further African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks in Romania’s domestic swine to be confirmed over the past 10 days was one affecting a large commercial premises.

Starting in the third week of April, 360 of the almost 11,500 pigs at the farm died, according to the official notification to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). At the time of reporting, culling of the rest of the herd was underway at the location in the southern county of Olt.
