Lab-grown chicken receives first-ever USDA approval

Upside Foods and GOOD Meat have achieved the final regulatory step toward mass lab-grown meat production in the U.S.

After receiving preliminary approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), two cultivated meat companies, Upside Foods and Good Meat, have been given the greenlight by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to produce and sell lab-grown meat in the U.S., according to AP News.
