Archer Daniels Midland Co. will build a new, modern feed facility to replace its current operations in Quincy, Illinois.

“We are excited to invest in a new, state-of-the art feed plant to serve our commercial and consumer customers throughout the United States,” said Brent Fenton, president of ADM Animal Nutrition. “Our new plant will centralize our Quincy production lines into a single, modern facility, allowing us to better and more efficiently meet customer needs, including increasing demand for unique pressed tubs, commercial feeds and specialty ingredients.

“From our new plant in Glencoe, Minnesota, and new facilities in China, to our under-construction facility in Effingham, Illinois, and this soon-to-be started plant in Quincy, ADM Animal Nutrition is continuing to aggressively grow and improve,” Fenton added. “Our goal is to be the go-to animal nutrition partner for customers around the globe.”

The new facility will feature:

  • Expanded warehouse space to serve our customers more quickly and efficiently.
  • Enhanced capability to serve increased demand for ADM products.
  • Dedicated feed line for non-medicated products.
  • Automated packaging and process controls.
  • Unique pressed tubs for multiple species.

ADM is working with local permitting authorities and plans to begin construction in the near future, with a targeted completion date of mid-2018. The current Quincy facility will remain operational during construction.
