Phytogenics can protect against negative effects of mycotoxins

Mycotoxins cause immunosuppression and oxidative stress in poultry, as well as toxicity in the liver, kidney and brain, leading to a reduction in profitability and performance. But phytogenic feed additives can protect against mycotoxins while promoting feed efficiency and promoting health and performance.

This is according to Insaf Riahi, technical director at Bionte Nutrition, who spoke January 28 at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
