Researchers find surprise methane solution in cashews

Extracts from cashew nut shells proved surprisingly effective at suppressing enteric methane in early trials, scientist says.

The search for climate solutions has sent researchers and entrepreneurs scavenging for potential feed ingredients that could suppress enteric methane production in cattle. Most of these efforts have been unsuccessful, but a preliminary trial from the University of Florida suggests  extracts from cashew shells could hold promise.
