MPS Feed Mill has the capacity to produce five to six semi loads of animal feed per hour

Mercer Landmark has opened a new feed mill in St. Henry, Ohio.

According to Mercer, the MPS Feed Mill has the capacity to produce five to six semi loads of animal feed per hour and will have fully automated receiving systems. These systems have dedicated inbound and outbound scales and high-speed receiving systems to provide a streamlined and efficient delivery experience to MPS bulk ingredient suppliers. The bulk handling at MPS will consist of application-specific conveyance systems from many of the top equipment providers to the feed industry.

Processing and mixing systems at MPS will utilize cutting-edge grinding and mixing technology to consistently provide the highest-quality feed to Mercer Landmark’s partners and customers. The new on-site loadout system has been designed with substantial handling capacity. The system is fully automated with two bays. Each bay has its own dedicated truck scale to provide the shortest possible turnaround times, as well as a consistent and reliable service to partners and customers.

Mercer Landmark held a private ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on March 7 for employees, their family members, local congressmen and partners, followed by a public open house that afternoon. However, in the interest of biosecurity, Mercer said it would not be hosting any further open houses at this time for the new MPS Feed location.

According to its website, Mercer Landmark has more than 280 employees and more than 19 locations in northwest Ohio.

The company did not respond to a request for comment.
